Collectively, bakuchiol, ceramides, and frankincense function as a plant-based serum and alternative to retinol, promoting a more youthful appearance while remaining gentle and suitable for sensitive skin.

Recognized as a retinol alternative, bakuchiol promotes collagen production and accelerates skin cell turnover. This contributes to the smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful and refined complexion. Unlike retinoids, bakuchiol is free from side effects like irritation, peeling, or heightened sun sensitivity, and it is deemed safe for use during pregnancy. 

Ceramides play a crucial role in maintaining the skin's ability keep water in and harmful elements out. Ceramides are naturally found in the skin, but their levels decline with age. By incorporating ceramides into your skin care, you are able to reduce TEWL and strengthen the skin barrier function for better hydrated and smoother looking skin.

Frankincense Essential Oil is well known for it's anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Making it an ideal addition to both dry, maturing skin and acne-prone skin. It's ability to promote cell regeneration, aids in both creating a smoother complexion, and reducing hyperpigmentation caused by sun spot or acne scars.

Key Ingredients

Bakuchiol
A plant based alternative to retinol, that promotes collagen production and accelerates skin cell turnover. This contributes to the smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in a more youthful and refined complexion. Bakuchiol is derived from the seeds of Psoralea corylifolia, and has a long history of use in Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicine.

Ceramides
Are lipids that are naturally found in the skin, but their levels decline as we age. This can lead to dryness, redness, and a loss of elasticity. Stoic Beauty Chryso includes ceramides III, IIIB and VI (2.5%), cholesterol (0.5%), free fatty acids & phytosphingosine (1%).

Frankincense Essential Oil
Anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties that encourage wound healing, boost skin cell regeneration and reduce hyperpigmentation.

Use

Massage a few drops into freshly cleansed skin at night, using upward strokes or gua sha tool. Use alone or follow with a moisturizer, for drier skin types.
